Welcome to North Shore Oahu Surf School LLC. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website, booking services, surf lessons, communications, and related services.
By accessing our website, submitting an inquiry, booking a lesson, or using our services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

Bookings and Reservations
Your reservation secures your scheduled surf lesson, subject to availability, weather, ocean conditions, instructor availability, and payment requirements.
You agree to provide accurate and complete information when submitting an inquiry or booking a lesson. This may include your name, email address, phone number, participant information, experience level, and other information reasonably needed to provide the service.
A booking is not guaranteed until it has been confirmed by North Shore Oahu Surf School LLC.
Our Commitment
We are committed to providing a safe, enjoyable, and authentic Hawaiian surfing experience.
We provide the surfboard and other equipment reasonably required for your lesson. Our instructors are trained to provide guidance appropriate to the lesson and ocean conditions.
Participants must listen to and follow all instructions provided by the instructor before and during the lesson.
Participant Requirements
Participants are responsible for informing us of any medical condition, injury, disability, swimming limitation, or other circumstance that could affect their ability to participate safely.
A parent or legal guardian must complete the booking and any required consent or waiver for a participant under the age of 18.
We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue participation when we reasonably believe that a participant:
- Cannot participate safely
- Is under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- Refuses to follow safety instructions
- Behaves in a threatening, reckless, or disruptive manner
- Creates a safety risk for themselves or others
A participant who is removed for unsafe or inappropriate conduct may not be entitled to a refund.
Assumption of Risk
Surfing, swimming, and participating in ocean activities involve inherent and unpredictable risks.
These risks may include, but are not limited to:
- Changing weather or ocean conditions
- Waves, currents, tides, and shore breaks
- Contact with the ocean floor, reef, rocks, sand, or other natural features
- Contact with surfboards, fins, equipment, instructors, or other participants
- Cuts, scrapes, bruises, sprains, fractures, or other injuries
- Drowning or near-drowning
- Encounters with marine life, including sharks
- Sun exposure, heat exhaustion, dehydration, or illness
- Acts or omissions of other participants or third parties
- Delays in emergency or medical assistance
- Other known or unknown risks associated with ocean activities
By participating, you acknowledge and voluntarily accept these risks.
Waiver and Release
All participants must complete and sign any required liability waiver before beginning a lesson.
The waiver is a separate legal document and may contain additional terms relating to risk, responsibility, medical treatment, photography, release of claims, and liability.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, North Shore Oahu Surf School LLC, its owners, employees, instructors, contractors, representatives, and affiliates will not be liable for injuries, illness, death, loss, or damage resulting from inherent risks associated with participation, a participant’s failure to follow instructions, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
Safety Instructions
Participants must follow all safety instructions provided by North Shore Oahu Surf School LLC and its instructors.
Participants must not enter the water or continue participating when instructed not to do so.
We may modify, delay, relocate, shorten, or end a lesson when necessary due to safety concerns, weather, ocean conditions, participant ability, equipment concerns, or other circumstances.
Equipment Policy
We provide surfboards, fins, and other equipment reasonably necessary for the lesson.
Participants agree to use the equipment only as instructed and to take reasonable care of it.
We understand that ordinary accidental damage may occur during normal lesson participation. When reasonably possible, we will provide suitable replacement equipment so the lesson may continue.
Participants may be responsible for damage or loss caused by intentional misuse, reckless conduct, unauthorized use, or failure to follow instructions.
Weather and Ocean Conditions
Ocean and weather conditions can change quickly and may affect the location, time, length, or availability of a lesson.
North Shore Oahu Surf School LLC has sole discretion to determine whether conditions are appropriate for a lesson.
We may move a lesson to another suitable location, reschedule it, delay it, shorten it, or cancel it when reasonably necessary for safety or operational reasons.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellations by You
You may cancel your lesson and receive a full refund when you notify us at least 24 hours before the scheduled lesson start time.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled lesson start time are not eligible for a refund.
Participants who fail to attend their scheduled lesson without notifying us are considered no-shows and are not eligible for a refund or compensation.
Late arrivals may result in a shortened lesson. The lesson may still end at the originally scheduled time, and no partial refund is guaranteed.
Cancellations by Us
We may cancel, postpone, or reschedule a lesson because of unsafe weather, dangerous ocean conditions, instructor emergencies, equipment issues, government restrictions, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
When we cancel a lesson and cannot provide a suitable rescheduled time, you will receive a full refund of the amount paid for that lesson.
We are not responsible for separate expenses such as transportation, lodging, parking, airfare, or other travel-related costs.
Payments
Prices are shown in United States dollars unless otherwise stated.
You agree to provide accurate billing and payment information.
By submitting payment information, you represent that you are authorized to use the selected payment method.
Any refunds will generally be issued to the original payment method. Processing times may vary depending on the payment provider or financial institution.
Website Use
You agree not to:
- Use the website for unlawful or fraudulent purposes
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the website or related systems
- Interfere with the operation or security of the website
- Submit false, misleading, abusive, or harmful information
- Copy or exploit website content without authorization

Limitation of Liability

Our total liability for a claim relating to a particular lesson will not exceed the amount you paid directly to North Shore Oahu Surf School LLC for that lesson, except where such a limitation is prohibited by law.
