Your Booking and Our Commitment

Your reservation secures your spot for an incredible surf lesson on Oahu’s famous North Shore. We provide the surfboard and all necessary equipment for your lesson. Our expert instructors, who are all trained in CPR and as lifeguards, are dedicated to your success and safety.

Assumption of Risk and Liability

Surfing is an exciting and physically demanding sport that involves inherent risks. While we prioritize safety above all else, participating in our lessons means you acknowledge and accept these risks.

Before your lesson begins, all participants are required to sign a waiver. This document formally outlines that North Shore Oahu Surf School, its instructors, and affiliates are not liable for any personal injury, illness, death, or damages that may occur. This includes, but is not limited to:

Encounters with marine life, including sharks.

Cuts, scrapes, or other injuries from contact with the reef or your surfboard.

Any other unforeseen incidents that may happen in the ocean environment.

Your safety is our top priority, and our instructors will provide thorough guidance to minimize risks. However, you are responsible for following all safety instructions and surfing at your own risk.

Equipment Policy

We provide high-quality surfboards, fins, and other gear to ensure you have the best possible experience on the water. We understand that accidents can happen during a lesson. While we are not responsible for accidental damage to the equipment during your use, such as a broken surfboard or fin, we will take responsibility for providing a suitable replacement to continue your lesson if needed. Our goal is to keep you in the water and riding waves.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

We maintain a clear and fair cancellation policy.

Cancellations by You: You may cancel your lesson and receive a 100% full refund, provided you notify us at least 24 hours before your scheduled lesson start time. If you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, or if you do not show up for your lesson (“no-show”), you will not be eligible for a refund or compensation.

Cancellations by Us: The ocean is dynamic, and conditions can change unexpectedly. We reserve the right to cancel a lesson due to unsafe weather, dangerous wave conditions, or instructor emergencies. If we cancel your lesson for any of these reasons, you will receive a 100% full refund. We will always communicate any changes to your scheduled lesson as promptly as possible.
